hello, im going to buy a new psu for my gaming rig. here is some specs: i5 4670k, 8gb ram, 1tb wd black, 212evo, asus maximus VI hero.

i was planning to attach a stock r9 290 attached to a kraken g10 and something like corsair h90.

so is the antec hcg 620 non modular psu going to suffice the power for my system? thanks in advance!

Well then I'd get that one; The XFX is made by Seasonic and it also has slightly more power on the 12V rail, which is what really matters when it comes to PSUs (in addition to the quality of course).

FYI The Antec HCG is a Seasonic OEM too, basically same quality, the r9 290 would use an absolute max of 330w (when torture tested) and your CPU shouldnt use more than 135w bringing you up to about 465w max total. It is best to run your PSU at 80% max rated power or lower which would be 496w for the 620w and 520w for the 650w.

Conclusion: Either would work, both are great, the xfx just gives you a bit more room.

Thanks for pointing that out, I (for some unexplained reason) had a feeling it was made by Delta.
