FX-8350 Overclock Help

Here is my PC specs:
FX 8350 4.4 ghz
2 HD 7970's 6gb Toxic Edition
SSD 120gb
16 gb RAM Corsair Vengeance
H100i Corsair Water Cooler
1200W PSU
990FXA-UD5

I want to try to get my CPU to reach 4.7-4.8 ghz but I'm kind'a new in this overclocking cpu stuff, so I wanted someone to please guide step by step with reccomendations for cpu voltage, bus, etc.

How high have you managed to get it on just the multiplier alone w/turbo off?

I've tried up to 4.4, because raising to 4.5 would make games like BF3 simply lose fps and sometimes crash the computer with no blue screen nor messages.

Assuming that is not that processors own limit, the next step would be to increase the vcore a step at a time. I say 'step' because I don't know the increments of that board's BIOS for vcore. But raise it one increment and see if it boots to Windows. If so, run a stress testing pgm like Intel Burn Test to verify stability. Prime95 for stability under long term use.

When I had my FX-8350, I didn't have a very good bin apparently. I was only able to get to 4.5 with a tiny vcore increase.
