So i am having POST
problems and decided i am
going 2 breadboard my
comp. i ordered and
recieved my case speaker
and i do not know where
to plug it into. I have an
INTEL DH61BF MOTHERBOARD and
my speaker has 4 holes (if
that matters). i have
looked in the manual and
tried finding it online but
couldnt find it. where do i
plug it in so i can hear my Startup
beeps?
MY CASE IS CM ELITE 311 Black and Blue

Solution
That board routes bios beeps thru the speakers
single beep - OK
two beep (repeating) - video error, system will continue to boot after the 2nd or 3rd repeat
three beeps (repeating) - ram. repeats until powered down.
Alternating high/low - Overtemp alarm - will beep for a bit and eventually shut down.

That is an inexpensive board that does not appear to offer a speaker header. At least I couldn't find one on the picture. The speaker header is usually part of the FP header or a separate header in the same area. But not all boards offer that option.
