Hello,
Could I please get some advice on my psu?

Cooler master haf x case
Phenom x4 945
Sapphire Radeon r7-260x
Asrick 990fx extreme 3
Corsair cx500.

Will my currect psu be OK or should I go higher?

I would advice a better quality PSU. Where do you live and what PSU brands are available?

But the CX500 will suffice for that build.

id get a bettr quality powersupply but if ur not overclocking or adding more the cx500 will do fine

I live in the U.S. I haven't put it all together yet. Just got case and mobo. I was looking at the corair rm750. But if I can safely use the cx500 I currently have for a lil while Id like to. Then upgrade psu and CPU at Christmas.

Budget isn't really an issue. This is for my son. His birthday was last week and wanted that case and mobo. I thought for Christmas I would see about the fx8350(?) CPU and upgrating to a fully modular psu at that time

I have no budget limit beyond that's silly crazy to pay that much. My only concern is putting all of it together and the psu failing or ruining something due to lack of power.

He might want 2 down the road. But I doubt ill buy a second one for him anytime soon. And I already have the CX500 installed in the tower ill b replacing the new tower with.
