When comparing both of the above, is 2gb dedicated graphics necessary for gaming* when a 4th gen Intel i5 is being used? I have the option for both, but would like to know if the extra money spent is necessary. Thanks
It depends on your resolution, or amount of screens! For a single 1920x1080, 1gb is fine. But let's say you want 2k+, on triple, or even one, monitor(s)? You'd be wanting the 2gb. Hope this helps!

I plan on using a single monitor. Just to clarify, if a single monitor (below 2k) is used, it will run common gaming titles at average+ settings without causing harm to any component of the PC?
Thanks so much for your response.
