R9 290. I just got one since it is honestly the faster card for the money. I got my 290 for $330 on newegg not too long ago so wait for a sale and pick up a 290. Just be aware the 290 is a little more power hungry and warmer. I love mine though! Btw I have the gigabyte windforce cooler and I never go above 70C.

I was told the R9 290 was better. I think it is. This article from tweaktown shows some benchmarks in comparison to other cards (770, 780 and 290x).
