Cross firing Graphics cards?

...Would I be able to crossfire a Tri Fan Saphhire Vapor-X R9 280X with a normal Sapphire Vapor-X R9 280X?

I think I'm going to get a Tri Fan Vapor-X but it's pretty long (30.8cm) so I could fit it into the top slot of my motherboard however if I tried to fit it into another PCI slot for Crossfire it would be too long because of the obstruction of the Corsair Carbide 300R's drive cage. on the bottom.
So I'd have to go for a normal one as its only 27.6cm.

So my question is:

Whether pairing the two of them together in Crossfire would work?

That probably didn't make sense but whatever...

If they are the same GPU (ignoring any reference design or non-reference design or any of that), they can crossfire/sli.

It'll work just fine, assuming both cards have the same amount of memory.

Coolers can change. As long as the VRAM and the GPU themselves are equal then there is no problem

Not really solution as one answer but after reading everyones I have found a solution.
