I have looked at the asrock z97 pro4 which looks like a good motherboard, I was originally going for a msi z97 pc mate but apparently there are problems with msi quality control (any details of this? is it a big deal?). also the pro 4 has 2 PCI e x16 slots but one is 2.0 and the other is 3.0, will this matter? this is my first build and as I have said I am planning on 290 crossfire in the future. I have the 290 and 4690k as they were on a very good offer -£50 on aria pc, the board needs to match this build http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/BQbjBm (or suggest changes to match it better) all replies appreciated :)

use ASUS Z97 A
evga nex is not good enough. reference : http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-su...
And Dual Radeon 290 need at least a good quality 850W
you can use this cheaper one http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1850b...
use full tower case for dual GPU
and add 212 evo for overclocking

thanks for replying :)
looking at what you said im not sure I can stretch my budget that far, for at least a few months. do you think it is worth doing crossfire or do I wait until single cards start being produced that can run 4K well? this would save me a lot of money. would the psu I have be good enough for a single 290?

:/  thanks again for the reply :)  are the parts I currently have on my list, plus a cpu cooler soon, good enough to work well? I plan to overclock the cpu (obviously with a 4690K) and probably the 290?

yes they are good enough,
use Asus Z97-A i listed above as the mobo. it is the cheapest OC mobo available in UK. (not every z97 has good oc ability)

next, 212 evo as cpu cooler
