I've built similar setups here for AutoCAD 3D photogrammetry work. Won't need to cost 10,000 euros.
We've additionally done setups with supermicro boards with 2 xeon's but the i7 extremes had better bench mark results.

Something tells me the OP doesn't actually need a £10,000 PC....

(It wouldn't be all those threads about them complaining that PCs are too expensive, or that his/her dad was getting them a £100 PC or anything)

I would recommend you wait another month or two. The platform that will be replacing the LGA 2011 should release before Q4 2014 (unless something has changed that I don't know about). It will include DDR4 and somewhat guaranteed to smoke anything available to the public currently.

Titan's are not necessarily great cards for 3D work. I guess it ultimately depends what type of 3D work you're doing..but you haven't really gone into that. That build clearly seems done just for the sake of hitting 10k.

that is true! In any case, depending on what type of 3D work he does titans might work..but 2 is overkill in any case. for openGL quadro's reign supreme.
