Seems to be a common complaint against this motherboard, I'm thinking about using it instead of the cheaper Biostar 970 board for an fx6300 secondary pc.

Can't really find much info on it since it seems like a newish motherboard, just from reviews on both newegg and amazon they mention something sometimes called a "double boot". While others say the whole system lagged/froze on startup.

I've seen other people swear by how good this motherboard is for the price with it's VRM heatsinks and good 8+2 powerphase. The old Gigabyte 970 UD3 board back in the day was well regarded and stout and it's sad if they went a step down in this new one.

What exactly is this "double boot" and is there anyway to turn it off? And what would cause the pc to lag that bad on startup? Maybe just DOA?

In that price range, I'd look at the Asus M5A97 R2.0, it's a good mobo, OCs well, good BIOS and it's the among the best rated AM3+ mobos
