Hello,

So I've recently decided to build a pc for the CV1, maybe upgrading that in the future. But for now I need help with a build for it. I've decided on the GTX 780 Ti SC from EVGA as my gpu but the rest I'm a little unsure of with what I need. I'd also like a good processor I believe but I mainly just don't want issues with performance in the Oculus. The main goal is to have as steady fps as possible on the higher settings.

My budget is $1,200-$1,600. I'd like to keep it closer to $1,200 without sacrificing anything but if it has to be pushed up towards $1,600 that's fine. Let me know if you need any more information. Thank you.

Hm that build looks pretty good. I do have a couple questions for you though. Will the processor that you chose be good enough so that it doesn't turn into a bottleneck when the 900 series gpus come out? Or should I put in an extra $100 to get an i7 4790k? Or will even that turn into a bottleneck for the 900 series? Since this is on the oculus I'll be displaying in stereo mode on either a 1080 or 1440p screen. So essentially 1440px2 for the consumer version.

Not sure how much DirectX12 will combat that or if that will have any effect on cpu bottlenecking?

Doesn't the gtx 900 series supposedly have VR specific benefits? I do realize this thread is from before they were even released (i think) and that they may push him over the $1600 cap but just curious.
