Hi guys! So I have to order a new GPU because my 7870XT's fan is failing and I had my eye on the Sapphire R9 280 Dual-X. It says you need a 500 watt power supply which I have (Rosewill Green Series 530w 80 Plus Bronze) but on a lot of the other 280s they say you need a 750 watt power supply. So, am I good to have this card? I just wanted to check before I ordered it haha.

You'll be fine with that PSU and that card.

But I would consider replacing the fan on your current card or switching to an alternate cooling solution before making the jump as a 280 won't be much of a jump from your 7870XT. Something like the NZXT G10 or an arctic accelero.

You might even be able to find replacement fans.

Sadly I have no clue how to install alternate cooling solutions and to be honest I was planning on getting a slightly smaller card (lengthwise) soon anyway. I also see some of the 270Xs from what I see anyway are not too much different in terms of performance however I may be wrong. Any thoughts?
