Hello!

I have a question. I've been getting some freezes from fitting my new Sapphire Radeon R7 260X OC 2GB. Is that because of the motherboard i have, does it support this graphics card? Or is it just because of computer being so heated... runs about 16-18 hours a day.

AsRock G31M-GS
Sapphire Radeon R7 260X (had GT 9600 before this)
4GB ddr2 800 mhz RAM
E7500 2.93 Ghz
Case: Smilodon: Raidmax
SPS-500SP.(12) SuperPower PSU 500W

Solution
The motherboard will be fine with the new graphics card

The power supply might be having issues though . I would suspect thats the case if you have changed from a very low powered graphics card , or from the integrated graphics .

The other potential issue would be graphics driver software . If you had an nVidia card in there previously you have to remove all traces of nVidia software before installing the AMD driver

I deleted all the drivers. But power consumption between this and the old one is only 20 W...
