Hello, thank you for taking the time to read my question. I have noticed similar questions asked, and I don't mean to be a bother but I must know. I have purchased an XFX R( 290 DD black edition. The system it will be going into is powered by a seasonic G series 650, my CPU is an 8320 on a GB 990fxa-ud3. The 290 calls for a 750W PSU and it makes me nervous. Should I get a bigger PSU?? I can't imagine the 290 sucks up more than 54A from the 12v or uses more than a combined system load of more than 650W but I can't be too sure. Thanks a lot for the help.

The 650w Seasonic will be good. the 750w reccomendation is for people who use low quality garbage psu's like raidmax and apevia.

It will be fine. As long as it has enough amps on the 12V rail it'll work just fine. Plus its a seasonic unit.

I appreciate the input, I'm not oc'ing my CPU or GPU. I didn't think I would run into problems but I didn't want to see my investment go up in smoke either.

the GPU uses a max of 300w, your CPU has aTDP of 125w. so unless you have 20 hard drives and other stuff in your setup, or are planning to substantially overclock your rig, you will be fine with your 650w seasonic.
