Anyone else notice that the dragons in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim sound just like the creepers from Code Lyoko at times?

I hadn't noticed that as I've never heard of Code Lyoko but I wouldn't be surprised.

Production studios like to licence and recycle as much material as they can, that way they can avoid doing the same work twice. They often licence large sound, texture, and model packs which they can then use as a basis for art assets to include in their own product either in the original state or modified appropriately.

For example, the scream from the Terran Academy in Starcraft is a slightly modified Howie scream, which is a stock movie asset akin to the Wilhelm scream (which is deliberately overused by producers as a running gag).

The problem is, Skyrim is a game created by Bethesda. Code Lyoko is an old cartoon made in France with completely different people and companies.

That's not a problem at all. The Wilhelm scream that I mentioned above has been used in over 200 movies over a period of more than 60 years. Tons of stuff in entertainment is recycled over and over again without anyone the wiser.
