hey, i bought a NZXT Phantom 410 today and after installing all my parts in it I get this message when i start it up. : Error : System fan failed .... Press F2 to continue blah blah

after some minutes of thinking i replug my old fan of my old case who connects directly on the motherboard instead of psu like phantom's fans. The error is gone and my computer start normally.

now i know that my computer doesnt recognize any fan if i dont plug old fan in. How can i disable this error message or disable the fan plug on the motherboard...

Thanks for helping :)

(All fans spin normally)

Solution
there is a specific fan port on your motherboard. this one is different from the other as it has 4 pin instead of 3 because its speed can be controlled. This port is named CPU_FAN and is next to your CPU. this mean your computer thinks there is no CPU fan and wants to alert you since you may be destroying your PC (what a nice guy!).

I had this very problem since my corsair H100i does not use CPU-FAN port. my solution ? i plugged a case fan in this port. All you have to do is to connect a fan in this port.

Never hook a fan to the psu it confuses the mother board.
If the fan isn't hooked straight to the mobo than it won't detect it and it will simply assume there is a fan error.
Hook to the mobo or don't hook at all because the mobo can't tell the fan what speeds it should or shouldn't be and it will confuse the system.

OK, but fan's connector in phantom 410 is a 3 pin molex that i need to plug with psu ... i think that i dont have any connection on my motherbord for the 3 pin standard fan plug

MotherBoard = Msi 2a9c
