Hello,

I have a Rapoo 7300 wireless mouse. I will install PnP and work perfectly both in a Win 7 Ultimate desktop and a Win 7 Home premium Acer laptop.

But it was purchased to be used in another Win 7 Home Premium Acer laptop and it's a no go.
One plugs the receiver in a USB port (tested in all 3 ports, 2 are USB 2 and one USB 3), windows start to install the driver, there's an error message with Error 10.

In Device Manager there's an exclamation mark in Human Interface Devices, USB input device. Driver uninstall and reinstall won't change anything.

Deleting all the USB stack and INFCACHE.1, reboot, doesn't change anything also.

Recreating Windows making an update from CD didn't help also.

I'm using a Logitech mouse now and it´s OK, but solving this puzzle (without a reformat) has became a challenge. Any takers?

Solution
That particular laptop evidently doesn't like the Rapoo mouse for some mysterious reason.
It's not insurmountable though since a different mouse works okay, you'll have to settle for that.
It's not exactly an issue which prevents the laptop being used, unlike many other issues we have to deal with.
