hey everyone i think this is the right section would love some help with this one as i can not seem to get results any place

my friends computer broke a few days ago and he needs to do some photo editing on adobe photoshop , the laptop he is currently using as a back up is not powerful enough to do some serious editing in any normal about of time so i offer him my much more powerful computer to use for editing , i know if he would just connect to my computer over basic windows 7 remote desktop it would not work because RDP only loads basic drivers and does not allow for direct x or open gl use of a GPU

my question , is there a way or some program he and i could use to allow him to remote into my computer from his laptop do to photoshop editing but allow my computer to do all the rendering and resource intensive tasks using the hardware on my rig ? also making his laptop a terminal of some sort? if anyone is able to help it would be much appreciated

My computer
Windows 7 pro 64-bit
i7 4939k
64gb 1800mhz corsair vengeance
two 780GTX in SLI
Asus sabertooth x79 mother board

Friend laptop
windows 8 pro 64 bit
core i3
8gb
intel integrated graphics

Indeed you'd have to create a user account on your machine first with team viewer installed and with Photoshop still accessible and providing you leave your machine turned on with an active internet connection he will be able to use the machine when ever he wishes to.

Honestly I cannot see why teamviewer wouldn't suffice.. the only problem you ever get with remote desktop is input lag so he does something and it happens slightly after. But put asides direct x open gl that's not relevant as long as your computer can run those all his laptop will do is receive the display all input and direct x things are done on your machine.

i think with team viewer you must have it running on a user account for it to work , i would be making him a separate user account that he would use for him to remote into
