Is it broken?

I bought a psu from hive 650 wats. And as I'm connecting it I notice something, is this normal? Other cables had the same thing. It looks like malfunction to me but what do I know

It would really help if you provided us with some more, in fact any factual information. What exactly did you notice? Were there explosions / sparks (usually means yes it is broken in my experience). What happens when you plug the thing in, and connect it to componants? Do you have a volt / multi-meter to test the outputs? Does the power cut out, or just not turn on at all? Does connecting different componants affect the performance, if so what combination produces which results? Generally use the scientific methods for practical experients you should have learnt at school aged between 14 - 18, and please let us know the results. We should hopefully be able to help you more then.

It is probably normal if the power supply powers the computer.

It is normal for one pin to be missing from the 24 pin ATX connector.

Also there is a 8 pin connector that seperates into a 4/4 pin and the one with the 2 square connectors plugs into the plug shown below
