Blank screen after installing RAM

I tried to upgrade my desktop's RAM by putting in an 8GB kit (2x4Gb GSkill Ripjaws X), but I get a blank screen (no access to BIOS or anything). I have an ASUS P5G mobo, the manual says it can handle up to 8Gb.

I have checked that they were inserted properly.
I wore an anti-static wrist band so I'm pretty sure I haven't fried anything.
I'm running Windows 7 64 bit so it can handle 4Gb sticks.
My current RAM is 2x2Gb GSkill (I only have two slots so I can't do 4x2Gb).
BIOS is set to auto for timings and voltages.
I have CPU-Z installed if anyone would like screenshots.

I've been trawling through website after website trying to find what RAM will work with my computer and now that I've bought it and it doesn't work, I've tried every solution to this problem I can find.

Please help me, I'm desperate!
Thanks in advance

Hmmm all I can think of is that the ram might not be installed properly but you've said they were. I would double check to make sure that your components are compatible with the ram you've installed. Also sometimes it might look like the ram is all the way in but might not be, never put force into it but just check that they are in.
