help me choose a graphics card for my PC

Need to know what's the maximum capacity of the graphics card (video ram) I could install in my desktop grandpa computer with configuration as follows

Gigabyte Motherboard
Socket 775
Chipset : Intel 910 GL (North Bridge) ( Intel ICH 6- south bridge)
Model : GA-81915ME-C (rev 1.x)
Internal memory : 1.25 GB 106.4 MHz( maximum capacity is 2 GB Dual Channel DDR 400)Processor : Pentium 4511
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.8 GHz
GPU- standard video graphics adapter
Total available graphics memory - 7872 KBExpansion slots
1) 1 x PCIe x 16 slot (x4mode)
2) 1 x G.E.A.R slot
3) 2 x PCI slots

in theory any pci ex card will work, the pci ex slot is backwards compatible.

the catch is modern day cards are far too powerful for that cpu and will get bottlenecked. it's not the memory capacity that matters but rather the gpu in the card. take a look at the http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-car... and stay below the 150-200usd mark anything over that is too powerful for the cpu.

also, please share the model/wattage sticker of your psu, you may need the 750ti which has the lower tdp from the recommendation article.
