Freezing and BSOD

For the past few months, I've been having a few problems with my computer. They weren't too bad so I let them be, but now things have gotten to the point where my computer spends at least a quarter of the day unusable.

1. I have freezing issues. Soon after I boot up, the computer becomes unresponsive for 3+ minutes. This usually clears up, but very rarely it will BSOD or force me to restart. Also, more recently, I've been getting random freezes throughout the day. They only last a few minutes, but they are very annoying. Just today this happened at least six times, a record.

2. I've been getting BSODs that the debugger says were caused by dxgmms1.sys and classified as a WIN8_DRIVER_FAULT. I've searched around for dxgmms1 and most sites say it's a driver issue. I checked my drivers and they're all up to date, so I have no idea what's going on. These have been occurring from a range of once every few days to twice a day.

3. I'm pretty sure I know the cause of this, but I'll post it anyway just in case I'm wrong. I'm getting a BSOD at least once a day where there will be a buzzing sound for a second and then my screen flashes a BSOD really quickly before rebotting. After the BIOS screen, I get a screen that tells me to 'Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key'. I've found that a temporary solution to this is to reconnect the power wire to my hard drive. I tried getting a new power wire, but that didn't work so I'm assuming that there's something wrong with the hard drive's power wire connector.

Any help with any of these three problems would be greatly appreciated.

If it stays stable in safe mode it's a software/driver issue, so you can begin then by stripping back services, startup programs and the like, and maybe using alternative (older?) drivers for suspect devices....

It boots fine in safe mode and in normal mode. I didn't notice any freezing in safe mode, though. It's stayed stable for about an hour now.
Since I'd like to use my computer today, I'll start it up again normally and put it back into safe mode tonight, which is when it usually crashes most.

EDIT: Ten or so minutes after booting up normally, my computer froze and crashed on me, this time with ntkrnlmp.exe as the IMAGE_NAME and LIST_ENRTY_CORRUT as the DEFAULT_BUCKET_ID. >.<
