Problem with PC, random shutdowns at what seemed random intervals

So, since my new build, (been a couple months now), i've been getting some strange issues, it does not have any "symptoms", as the computer runs fine until it suddenly crashes (power off), and boots back up, and sometimes it crashes again while in the reboot cycle, even while moving around BIOS settings (looking and not changing anything) it would crash.

so naturally i started brainstorming possible problems. such as:

-GPU issue,
-RAM issue
-overheating.
-not enough power
etc....

however, i have gotten at the bottom of the list, and havn't got anything. it's nothing to do with software, as i can run a different harddrive (a spare one i plug it, installed a windows 7 on it to test and benchmark software) on it without any problems (yet it stilll randomly crashes)

Overall, i'm down to my PSU, which runs fine, it would be able to run let's say a game or my computer while benchmarking perfectly fine for sometimes hours, then at random intervals it would crash and start back up (usually going into a more or less infinite crash-loop cycle, while the only issue seems to be able to switch of power at source, wait 5 seconds then turn on, then it runs fine until next crash...

Current specs:
CoolerMaster Hyper 212X CPU Cooler
Western Digital WD Black WD3003FZEX 3TB
Western Digital WD 500GB (unknown model)
Western Digital WD 160GB (unknown model)**** this was removed for spare hdd (see above) test
Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X OC 4GB
Corsair RM-850 80 Plus Gold Power Supply
G.Skill Ripjaws Z F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZH 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 I
Intel 530 Series 120GB SSD
Intel Core i7 4820K
ASUS P9X79 Motherboard

OS:
-windows 7 64bit (home) on SSD

additional info:
-Seems to crash randomly, althought it is most likely to crash either on boot (or during BIOS and such) or while computer is under load (e.g benchmarking, gaming, rendering, compiling, etc...), i have also not noticed any sort of time based symptoms either.

---------------

i have heard of the issue with the thermostat on the PSU of the RM 750 and 850 power supplies, so i have attached a secondary fan (above in-built one) to push in air as to cool it down, still crashes.

i have tried running on 2 memory sticks (either) but either my PC won't start (memory issue - badly 'balanced' ram) or it crashed like before.

i can't think of everything i have tried of the last couple month, but it's everything short of a new PSU, and since i use this PC for university, work and pretty much everything in my RL, i have not been able to remove PSU to send it back, and i do not have another PSU to test either.

additionally, it's not a virus, or at least, it's not a virus i have found or detected, and it would be hard for me to believe it was (as i tested the other HDD and still it crashed).

Also: i have searched the web, and so far i have not managed to find anything of similar origin that can solve this: for instance:

sorry if i forgot anything i have already done, it has been too long i have been dealing with this....

download hwinfo and run sensors and post the results - usually 3 screenshots in TinyPic or similar.

Do a Checkdisk on each drive.

Do a bios reset.
