Hi,
What difference does it make if a CPU has Intel's Flexible Display Interface (FDI) ?

Does it make any difference to the type of displays or connectors I can use? Or the number of displays?
What does Intel FDI do, does it make any difference to the PC user?

Many Thanks

Thanks for your replies,

I am comparing the i5 4670k, i5 4690k, i7 4770k, i7 4790k.
On this page:
http://ark.intel.com/compare/80811,80807,75123,75048
It says the i5 chips have Intel FDI.
"The Intel® Flexible Display Interface is an innovative path for two independently controlled channels of integrated graphics to be displayed."
Does this mean that I could only have one screen without FDI? Or something else?

Thanks for the link, the wiki page seems quite technical. What difference would it make if I get a CPU with Intel FDI or without?

Thanks
