cleaning CPU cooler heatsinks

Hi

For 6 months I have been hating to look at my greasy heatsinks on my CPU cooler, I have been wanting to clean them for several months but haven't been bothered. What is the best way to clean just the top of them without having to take it out of the case?

Ok if fingerprints, it won't really affect performance, only aesthetics. If its really bothering you use the 99% isopropyl alcohol on a cotton bud and rub it on. You may even be able to use the dry cotton bud as it is and it might remove them.

yes for top and no, the fingerprint marks on the heatsink that I made during installation....
