Box says it's R7 265 but

they use the same pcb for the 2 cards and solder gpus / stickers as demanded

edit:also they are both Curaçao based so the 265 just has some sections disabled compared to the full featured 270/270x so same pins for the gpu. makes sense for gigabyte to use the same pcb for all 3

probably used the same PCB and put a different GPU chip on it. Easier for them to reused boards already made and put whatever GPU on it.

PCB is the same; only difference is the GPU soldered on top of it.

have you checked with GPU-Z? maybe gigabyte reflash the card with 265 BIOS. 265/270 is based on the same chip after all.
