Hello.
Last night, when i turned my pc off, I touched CPU fan (plastic part). It was hot as hell. I couldnt have my finger on it. I did run that fan at 100% all the time for like 4 hours.
So is it bad? Can it get on fire or melt itself?

I would change its speed but i can't. SpeedFand cant detect it. Its connected to Systemfan3

SpeedFan is crap. What cpu temps are you getting in bios/uefi?

Hey yo. Its not about CPU tempareture. Dats normal all the time (less than 50 °C even under load). Its the actuall fan thats hot as hell. Its actually CPU cooler but used for circulating air in chasis. I have other CPU fan for cooling CPU and its fine.

So what's the problem now? Have you put the new cpu fan on?

I have a CPU fan cooling the CPU and i have a CPU fan which isnt cooling the CPU (yes its confusing but by CPU fan i mean fan, whic WAS intentionaly meant for cooling CPU). And the second one I'm using it for circulating air in chasis. It doesnt really matter what fan is it xD. The problem is that I always run it at 100% and the plastic fan where motor is gets VERY hot.
Im worried it will melt. Any chance of that?

So one is a case fan and the other is a cpu cooler fan?

If your worried about either, just replace it. The cpu cooler will have a 4 pin (PWM) fan. The case will have a 3 pin fan.

Thanks for fast reply. Well in this case they are both 4 pin. Because im using CPU fan as case fan. But yeah. You are probably right. Will just replace it. You can get decent fans for under 10€ these days.
