Make sure the hard-drive is still working. Go in to the BIOS and see if it's showing up in there first, then make sure it is selected as the first boot device (if you want CD-ROM first that's fine, as long as there are no disks in the drive for now). If the HDD doesn't show up in the BIOS, it's probably bad. You should check the cables too in case it came loose. If it does show up, it could still be a bad drive, but you have a better chance of recovery if it initializes. You should also do a BIOS reset and power cycle, just for giggles. Pull the power cord, pull the motherboard CMOS battery and let it sit for 30s. Replace the battery and power cord and turn it on.
