I am operating on Windows XP. I am attempting to upgrade to Windows 8.1. I receive two error messages after installing the 8.1 DVD. (1) Setup.exe-Entry Point not found. The procedure entry point- CxxFrameHandler3 could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll. (2) The file autorun.dll could not be loaded or is corrupt. Setup cannot continue. Error code is [0x7F]. My old system is operating with a 2.2GHZ CPU and I have 2 Ghz of ram. What is wrong.

Sounds like the files are corrupt, where did you get the Windows 8.1 setup from?

Are you trying an over the top upgrade? If so, I would recommend backing up your data and do a clean install.
How old is your system? Details will help.
