Hi,

I have a 2 gb kingston kvr800d2n6/2g. I want to upgrade it to 4 GB. I checked the amazon site and came across this model #: kvr800d2n6/2g-sp. What does 'SP' mean? Will it be compatible with my current ram? My previous pack does not sayr '-SP' on it. Please help. :(

Hello, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support. The "-SP" at the end of the part number indicates the type of pack it is sold in, specifically this one is a "Single Pack". The part numbers KVR800D2N6/2G and KVR800D2N6/2G-SP will be essentially the same. Although, this part was discontinued in November 2013 so be wary of where you purchase.
