I have been setting up computers for the past couple weeks to my company domain controller over the VPN with no issues until now. At one building I had no issues setting a computer until the last one. I get an error code "The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "***.local": The network location cannot be reached. For inofrmation about network troubleshooting, see Windows Help." No one else computer in that building had an issue. So from the computer that was having issues i ping my server name, the domain name and it's IP address with no issues and no packet lost. When i enter in the domain name it ask for my credentials. So i know it see's the computer. But I'm not sure what it is giving me that issue.

Windows Server 2012
Roles installed, Domain controller, DNS, and File services.

No I have not. But wouldn't that slow down my VPN? I only two buildings that this connection speedhttp://stage.results.speedtest.comcast.net/result/55811... . My main building which is where the server is at and where the computer is that is having issues. We don't have the fastest VPN and we have couple pieces of software that use purely internet connection the whole day.

If i remember right, that option has to be ticked for domain joining as your DNS will not find your domain.
You can un-tick it once machine is on the domain.

Hmm. Ok. I will have to look and see if I can find it in my firewall.

Actually I have been doing this already. And I still get the issue. The weird thing that gets me is it ask me to enter in my credentials and still gives me the error.
