Hey everyone I am trying to connect a new wireless router(AC 6350) to our network. The only problem is that when we try to connect to the wireless and get on the internet we can't. The wireless router can see that it is connected to the internet.

We currently have a DHCP server and therefore cannot use DHCP on the wireless router. My question is how can I bridge the connection that will a user to connect to the internet through wireless? I appreciate any help you guys can lend :)

Easiest way ..

Reset the router to defaults to remove any possible configuration issues.

Create a DHCP reservation against the routers LAN MAC address ( NOT WAN or WIFI MAC).

Now connect your router to your network via a LAN port ( NOT WAN ) and access web interface using the the IP.

Disable DHCP, firewall, UPNP, basically any routing functions, turning it in to a switch+AP.

Setup WIFI etc.

What we found out was we were trying to change the IP address manually by punching in 15.x.x.x When the router would reset it would default to 172.x.x.x. clearly not what we intended it to be. While digging around on the router I found a bridge mode which was exactly what I was looking under the Internet settings. So I then changed it to bridged mode and hit apply.

A message then came up and said that I have to log into the router via it's ip address. So I punched in 192.168.x.x default ip but then it would not connect. So we found the ip address of the router by pinging it which was defaulted to 15.x.x.x So we reserved the IP on the server to make sure it will be there in the future and we have a definte log on.

Das_stig I do appreciate the reply. I hope that this helps anyone who might have a similiar issue.
