I recently bought a new laptop that came with a single 8GB ram stick with another slot open to add another ram stick.
So far all I know is that its a DDR3 ram running @ 1600mhz.
If I were to buy another 8gb ram stick that was DDR3 / 1600mhz would that be fine to just plug into my laptop ? Will there be compatibility issues if its a different brand ?
Im not sure what the current brand of my ram stick is so I cant just buy the exact same one. The booklets / info that came along with the laptop did not say anything about the brand of the Ram and I cant seem to find any additional info from the website as well.
P.S its a Gigabyte P15f v2 laptop btw
