What size should the profile picture be?

Hey there I am trying to Upload a profile picture to my profile, What should the size be? Because I cant upload one because it is to large. Some help would be great. :)

100x100 or lower.

I don't believe there's a data limit.

You may need to check that it's a suitable format; AFAIK PNG, GIF, JPG and possibly a few others should work.
