What are the specs of your PC? Do you need built-in speakers? Do you have a size preference? What is your budget?

I don't have the exact spec atm but its and i5 8gigs of ram and a gtx 760 2g. Speakers are not important to me at all and I was thinking about 21 or 27 with a budget of no more than maybe 250 unless something really blows me away. Thanks for the reply

Do you personally have this monitor? I currently have a alienware and the monitor menu is absolute crap. So I'd like it to have a nice menu interface and easy to use.

Sorry, I don't have it myself, but the ones I use aren't exactly what I'd recommend. Looking at reviews from Newegg, it would seem that the only thing that generally bothered people was the menu, so that monitor wouldn't be for you then.

The interface on this one should be good if it's anything like my old 21.5" Asus: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-ve247h

Thank you. Also I've been looking around at monitors and I notice some cheaper ones have a faster response time. How important is that necessarily. I've seen a $400 one with 5ms and that one which is around $180 with a 2ms.

Some people notice it, but most can't see the difference.

Ok so if I'm very sensitive to seeing flaws with gaming and what not I should probably go for a faster response time lol. I just noticed we have the same gpu as well. How do you like it? What kind of games do you play and what kinda fps are you getting?

if you have the budget and sensitive enough (your eyes), you can opt for a 120 or 144hz monitor. i have a 120 (google s27a950d for pictures)
and i love it, it's a TN but still very very nice

I like it a lot and it can max out most games @1080p with 60fps. I play all kinds of games and the GPU can handle pretty much everything I throw at it.

I have a 5ms response monitor and have never seen any ghosting or anything. Games look great on it. Stick with 5ms or less and you will be good. I have a 24" Hanspree that I picked up on sale for $60 and I love it. Looks great, has a good menu too. I would recommend a 24" ASUS, they seem to get alot of great reviews.
