Hi all. Building a new pc after the death of my much loved 5 year old rock laptop. First serious build in at least a decade. Done loads of research and thought it was time to put my decision to the test from people who are far more knowledgeable than I.

Objective of the build is to play some of the latest games, eg: watchdogs.
I'll stop waffling now and get to the good stuff.....

CPU: AMD 8350
Mobo: asus crosshair v formula z
Memory: g.skill 1600mhz 2x4gb
Ssd: Kingston hyperX 120gb sata3 3k
Storage: wd caviar Black 1tb
Psu: corsair ax860 (not 860i)
GPU: 2 x r9 270x
OS: windows 8.1
Wireless card: please help as hard wire is not an option.

Thank you in advance.

Wow, that's completely changed everything.Thank you so much for the effort you've gone to. Now at the end of the day why is that better than my original list?

Well that i5 is going to perform a lot better and be more future proof than an 8350. But really you could change the GPU to anything you wanted, and the PSU is changeable also. Newer CPUs seem to do better with higher latency RAM, and 1866 is about the same price as 1600. I like ASUS MOBO and EVGA GPUs. Windows 7 vs 8 is a matter of preference

In what way will the i5 give superior performance? Why won't the 8350 be as future proof?

Is there anything essentially wrong with my original build spec?

Just trying to get a handle on all this stuff. There is so much to choose from out there.
