Hello, my gpu is a EVGA Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 ti FTW w/ ACX Cooling.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487028&cm_re=evga_750_ti%27-_-14-487-028-_-Product

My CPU is an APU, a AMD A10-5700. (I plan to upgrade to an A10-6800K)
no link :(

I ran Unigine Valley Benchmark and averaged a saddening FPS of 21.0. I just want to know, is my processor too slow for my GPU, do i need to upgrade to that 6800K? and if so how much of a perfomance boost would i get? or is it just the GPU?

I would get a far better CPU but i have a MSI mobo with a FM2 socket :( the 6800K is the best one i can get for it so im stuck with the 5700 until i can upgrade :(

,Max

well the valley benchmark is primarily a gpu benchmark, so you really shouldn't be seeing a bottleneck from the cpu. The 21 fps isn't informative on its own because you can run Valley at any # of settings. But, 21 fps doesn't sound particularly bad for a 750ti assuming you had run it on demanding settings.

Why don't you compare your performance against some benchmarks in some games where a cpu bottleneck might be more apparent? (you'll never match benchmarks, or at least I don't, but being >10-15% off can be indicative a bottleneck elsewhere in the system)

update: I checked some scores here http://www.overclock.net/t/1360884/official-top-30-unigine-valley-benchmark-1-0 and your 21 fps does look a bit low comparatively. Looks...

Its not far off what I would expect given the scores I linked above. I'd still check playing some actual games because like I said, valley is a gpu benchmark, you won't reveal a cpu bottleneck that way.
