It's kind of like comparing Apples to Oranges, as games are highly optimized for consoles, whereas not so much for PC. But if I were to ballpark it, I'd say it's the Radeon 7970/r9 280x that it's equivalent to performance wise, but the 7790 in a basic, hardware sense, without factoring in optimization.

No the PS4 is not better than a R9 280x or the GTX 770. The PS4's GPU is based on Pitcairn, equivalent to AMD's HD 7850

Here are some benchmarks and the specs of the card: 770 vs 7850: http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-HD-7850-vs-GeForce-GTX-770

r( 289x vs 7850: http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-280X-vs-Radeon-HD-7850

So using the 7850 as a reference, you can see why the PS4 is weaker than the 280x and 770. Nonetheless I'm surprised by Naughty Dog's Uncharted 4 teaser trailer, it looks amazing.

Yea but what resolution/fps will the final product run at.

In current performance terms I think the new gen consoles are performing below a gtx760, but above a 750ti. I'm sure over time they will get better though. (although probably end up with really pretty 30fps games at 900p if I had to bet)

Naughty Dog is targeting 1080p at 60 fps for U4. They said the teaser trailer was in game engine. Corrine Yu confirmed this and I believe the girl, she's super talented and amazing. I find it hard to believe that U4 will look that good and run at that res and fps, but it's Naughty Dog, they're wizards. I've read they have an amazing rendering pipe that allows them to do this.
