Hi everyone,
I am building my own pc for the first time and it would be really great if I could get some feedback from you experts. Here's my setup.

This is for my home computer on daily use basis. I don't game so not planning to do overclocking. Primary use of this computer would be watching HD videos, streaming videos, running some simulations (matlab).

What I am worried the most is the compatibility of motherboard with i5-4690K haswell refresh. I bought these two as a combo deal from Newegg. Since it's Z97, I think it should work right away without updating BIOS. Would it? or is it even a better idea to update it to the newest version? I would like to hear your suggestions.

Thanks in advance!!

That'd work fine! As for the BIOS, you shouldn't HAVE to do it, but it'd be recommended.

Also, you wouldn't even need that 650w PSU for this build, if the gpu is a 750 TI. Those run on 300w psu's, so I'd go with a 500w if you've got a budget. Just some additional input!

Hope I've helped.

According to ASRock's BIOS download page, you'll have to update the BIOS to add any overclocking profiles for that CPU. However, from what I can tell it should run just fine with that CPU - the only CPU that needs a BIOS update is the Pentium Anniversary edition.
