Is This A Good Build For The Games I Want To Play

I'm wondering if this is a good build for games like Arma 3, DAYZ, Total War games, and others on high settings. I'm not looking toward games that will be on consoles since that is what I play them on. I also don't want to have a build that can go to ultra high settings and maybe be toward very high. But here is the build I have made. I would appreciate if you could suggest any changes or just tell me that this is a good build. If you'd like to make some changes I would like to keep the price range around $600-$650 but if I need to go to $700 I will but that is last resort.

CPU - AMD Athlon X4 750K 3.4GHz Quad-Core
Motherboard - MSI FM2-A85XMA-E35 Micro ATX FM2
Memory - Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
Storage - Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Video Card - Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X 2GB WINDFORCE
Case - Rosewill Galaxy-02 ATX Mid Tower
Power Supply - Corsair 500W ATX12V

Switch to a intel core i3 4130 and a B85 motherboard, it will yield better performance.

And what corsair 500W psu is it?

Not a bad budget system. I tend more towards the FX-6300 and a decent 970 chipset for that particular budget.

^ It will absolutely not yield better performance if he's going to overclock that 750k. It banks on if he is or not.

It's a pretty solid budget machine. To get the most out of your processor you may want to consider overclocking it. For that you might want to consider a cooler like the Coolermaster Hyper Evo 212. If you overclock you might also want to increase your PSU to a 550-600W model. Try and avoid the Corsair VS and CX series as they use cheap capacitors, the 550W XFX PSU is made by Seasonic (very good) and is very reasonable, especially when offers or rebates are available.

Actually I tend to agree with TechyInAz, an i3 or even an overclocked Pentium anniversary (G3258) would be more power efficient and allow more powerful processors like an i5 or i7 in future.

This in the budget. Dropped the 280x and got the 280. 700$ at checkout, but75$ in rebates.

Yes, you will be able to run very high/ultra on this PC.

I assume you were playing Arma 3. Previous versions will be better, but this pc is already way over ultra for playable FPS.

They will be cheapest from separate vendors. A single vendor might not have all the listed parts either.
