These forums helped me build my computer, so I thought I'd turn to you guys for help.

I turn on my computer after it being off for a while (overnight, etc.) and the monitor will just go black, as if it is recieving no signal. I've tried unplugging/replugging the HDMI cable I'm using to connect PC to monitor, and nothing happens. I have to shut down the computer hard (with the power button on the front of the tower) and restart it to get things working normally and have it boot.

Also, I used to have the problem of the display going black and nonresponsive (can't even hear keypresses, mouse clicks from the computer or any interaction, as it mostly happened in-game) after using the computer for a while. I thought it was a temperature problem, so I moved the computer from carpet to a hard floor. The problem went away for like two weeks, and now just happened after using it for a while, but with simple web browsing and things. Furthermore, in using MSI Afterburner to log my temperature, I see that there was no unusually high temperature before the crash, which was only fixed after hard reset. I suspect hardware deficiency. Thing is, I only built the thing last February, so it isn't that old...

Turns out my graphics card was constantly pulling close to my PSU's max wattage, so it eventually failed. Got a bigger PSU and sent the card in for warranty repair and now everything's great.
