I am wanting to know the max I could overclock my system. I am kinda new to this so I am just looking for braking points and avrages for:

baseclock:
CPU speed:
CPU temp:
GPU "stuff":
Memory:
Case temp:

Detailed explinations and answers to anything important that is missing are recommended. Thanks!

My Build:

4820k
ASUS P9X79 WS
ASUS GTX 760
CORSAIR VENGENCE PRO 8GB 2400
128 GB SSD
1TB HDD
CM Storm Stryker case
2 front 120 intake fans
Corsair H100i mounted to the top
1 rear 140 exhaust

It really depends on your chip. There's no way of knowing what your maximum overclock will be unti you reach it. The h100i should get you close to or at your maximum overclock though.

You should be aware that with high frequency RAM, your maximum stable overclock on the cpu will be slightly lower (not sure how much lower). You might want to consider going with an 1866Mhz or 2133Mhz kit.

Again with your GPU, your max overclock depends on your chip. If the GPU has a decent cooler you should be able to reach it without getting temps that are too high.

With the overall build, why skimp on the gpu, or the RAM capacity for that matter, if you're getting an Ivy bridge-E processor?

Okay, I guess what I should have asked is Will I permanently break anything trying to overclock? and what are some ball park guesses on some of them?

As long as you run stress tests like prime95, etc. to check the temps (including the vrm temps) stay at reasonable levels, you won't break anything, but might reduce the lifespan of your components a little.

There's no way to tell what clocks you'll be able to get on your CPU/GPU, or the case/CPU temps. With the h100i I'd be surprised if your temps restricted you from overclocking any further.

What I'm wanting to know is what are reasonable temps?
