Transferring Windows from my laptop to Desktop ?

So the thing is im working on a new build and have a old laptop that i dont use so i was wondering can i like disable the windows on that laptop and use its windows on the new build ?

No. That OEM license is tied to that laptop motherboard. It will not activate on a new PC.

Sell the laptop and buy a new OS with the proceeds.

Yes it was.....but isnt there a way to wipe it out from the laptop itself ? and then free it from that laptop and do a install on the new build using the laptops key ?
