I have a couple old HDD that I need to securely erase/overwrite before I throw them away. I don't want to boot from CD to erase. I would rather just install the HDD and erase them through my Windows OS. Obviously, the HDD won't be running my OS when I try this. 
Is there a free program that can do this?
