the psu is a powerlogic magnum pro 275, it has 14 amps on the 12v rail thats 168w and cpu is a q8400 with max tdp of 95w plus the 750s 55w is 150w, only other hardware is 1 500gb hard an asus dg soundcard will the psu suffice

Solution
It sure will, and it is a quality psu. Just consider getting a little bit more powerful one, this is investmentnin the future, a quality psu can be carried over tomyour next bug build provided it is good and powerful. If you dont need that, or dont intend to add a stronger graphics card later, this psu will be great.
Unless you psu is 100% efficient, no, this will not be enough. Even if it were, running a cheap psu loaded to near max its capacity would make it die quite fast, possibly killing other components in the process. Get a quality 450w psu like xfx core and this will provide enough power and potentially save you money and trouble.

Sincerely, I believe this PSU is enough for your needs. If you plan to buy a 750ti, my bet is you will change your CPU/MB before changing your GPU again. That means your needs will be reduced at first if you upgrade because your current CPU is 95W, which by today's standards is a lot.

So I'd definitely go with the seasonic. I have an OC'd QX9650 and a 7770 (both of which need more than your rig) + 3HDDs running on a fanless 450W psu...

Do you know what PSU efficiency is?

How able the psu is to convert the power it receives from the AC socket to the DC power the computer receives. Apparently, a lack of quality coffee did a lot on the brain, dont even know what I was thinking. However, bad capacitors are still a reason good enough for an upgrade.
