Hello.
So i wanted to install ubuntu alongside with windows 8.1 but i changed my mind after finding out that ubuntu didn't recognize that i have windows 8.1 installed, so i didn't actually install anything yet , i was doing all this in the demo version of ubuntu and running it on a boot usb stick , which i made by following the guide on the ubuntu website.
i restarted my pc and removed the usb stick, then wanted to start windows and delete ubuntu
but got the following text:Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media , something like that
i opened bios to make sure it booted from my hdd but i still got the same text.
i used the dvd where my windows 8 was on and tried to repair windows but it didnt to anything either.
reinstalling windows 8.1 is my last option because i have a 2tb hdd and i have like 500gb of data, games mostly but still a pain to download 500gb again because i have a slow net.
Anyway, is there a way to restore my stuff ?
thanks for listening my sad story.
