We have been having an issue with our desktop computer losing it's internet connection. The desktop is connected through the router with a wired connection and we have several devices connected through WIFI. The problem only seem to happen when many devices are connected and more specifically when my devices are connected (laptop, cell phone, tablet). My father claims that this problem only occurs when I am back home using my devices. When multiple devices are connected the desktop computer is frequently "kicked off" the wired connection and only reconnects when the modem and router are restarted. I would appreciate any insight into this problem.

its obviously bandwidth-disconnect your unused devices. I have this issue frequently with all of the smartphones, tablets, and laptops that my kids have. it will overwhelm a hotspot very quickly, you really can't have more than 3-4 devices connected and being operated at a time, and I have a 20mbps cable connection.
