CPU running hot?

I just installed a 2nd fan on my CPU cooler (corsair h60) so now it's running in a push-pull configuration. Before, I'd run 32-33 idle. Now, with a 2nd fan, It either stays the same or can shoot up to 40c IDLE. I have no idea what's causing this, as the cooling block is making good contact with the CPU

Solution

The H60 can't dissipate much heat. The surface area of the radiator is tiny. Push-pull won't do diddly.

I have the one behind the radiator blowing air into it, and the same for the other. I figured if I keep the one in the back the same and reverse the front fan, wouldn't it just pull all the cool air out of the radiator? Also, I did remove the cooler because I had it screwed in odd. I removed all the thermal compound with some 99% isopropyl alcohol, then applied a dab of higher quality stuff.

Yeah, it's not a good cooler. I just went ahead and removed the 2nd fan, temps are much cooler. I think I'm going to invest into the Kraken X61 soon.

But he shouldn't see an increase in temps from it. I agree push pull is useless on such a thin radiator, but there is not reason for an increase.

when 2 fan are different type, speed .. configuration it some time created turbulent between the 2.. back flash of air ( call some thing like that :p)

it actually hurt more than help.... best to keep the 2 push and pull fan identical
