I built myself a system a while ago and on my motherboard I have 4 ram slots and they run in dual channel sk I bought 2×4gb Corsair Vengeance and installed that.

Recently I got hold of 4x4gb kit of corsair vengeance ram but 2 of the ram modules were cracked so persumed they were broken.

These 2 ram modules that aren't are the exact same model as the ram I have installed in my pc, all the latencys and frequencys are the same the only difference is they are a different version.

Can I use those 2 ram modules in my pc along with the 2 I already have installed even though they have a different version number of the modules and 2 of them are a dual channel kit and the other 2 are part kf quad channel kit?

Will there be any issues and should I install them in any particular way?

Cheers

Give them a try, if any problems (and there may be, i.e. might not boot), go with the 2 sticks you already have, boot into BIOS and raise DRAM voltage + 0.05, if still problems let me know CPU, mobo and DRAM model #s

When I try and boot it says my machine is damaged and needs repaired, when I click repair it tries to repair it but then states in can't be repaired.

If I just ignore the error and continue onto windows my computer functions fine.

Should I just ignore this message?

I use an AMD FX 6300, Asus M5A96 EVO R2.0, CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B for the dual channel modules and CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9B for the 2 quad channel modules

Sorry I can't give you much information as I'm at work but I will inform you more when I return home.

Cheers

Try running System File Check - go to command prompt as administrator and run the command SFC /SCANNOW
