So, I built a new rig about six weeks ago, and after installing Windows 7 Pro and getting/updating all drivers, I began using it.

Immediately, it began freezing on occasion (not every time) when playing video files with VLC, playing some flash games, or even watching a video on youtube.

I first thought it was a power supply issue, and now I am on my 3rd one, an Antec HCG-850M (exchanged/returned the first two as I thought they were the issue.)

I have run memtest86+ for 27 passes with zero errors.

I am running this system on an MSI Z97 PC Mate LGA 1150 MotherBoard and have run its update utility to ensure all drivers are up to date.

I have not yet purchases/installed any GPU, as I wanted to make sure system was stable before complicating it.

I am running out of ideas as to what would be causing these freezes.

If I wait, the system returns to normal after 3-4 minutes.

Specs:
RAM - Corsair Vengeance (4gbx2) DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
CPU - Intel I5 4590 cooled by Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler
Motherboard - MSI Z97 PC Mate LGA 1150
Hard Drive - Samsung 840 EVO SSD
Power supply - Antec HCG M HCG-850M 850W ATX12V SLI Ready

Any ideas?
